KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 21 (Reuters) - Malaysian police confirmed on Monday that sacked finance minister Anwar Ibrahim has been arrested under the Internal Security Act (ISA), which provides for detention without trial.

The official Bernama news agency quoted a statement by federal police as saying Anwar's arrest on Sunday night, which followed a large demonstration in the capital, was under a section of the ISA covering threats to national security.
